Mzimba Shine Bright Resource Center
The Shine Bright Resource Center we hope will be an answer to the question of how to help our students and the students in this central region of Malawi will be able to succeed in school. It will be a bright shining source of hope, real help, information, and fun. The Shine Bright Resource Center is in the middle of town with multiple secondary schools, primary schools, churches and people surrounding it. Giving Basics is teaming up with Shine Malwai on this project that we hope will bring lasting impact in this region. It will host a pre-school, tutoring center, library and computer lab, music room, play ground, basketball court, and a soccer area.
We already have the property bought, the items to fill it on the container waiting to be shipped and now we just need to revamp the existing building and construct a new wing.

Giving Basics applies a bottom-up approach when serving in foreign countries. First, we listen to the needs and dreams presented by communities, villages and churches. Then we pray for God's wisdom. Finally, we set up a plan that enables us to work as a team allowing the communities, villages and churches we come alongside to put in a large percentage of labor and expertise into the overall completion of projects. Working hand in hand - Giving Basics feels this is the strongest way to implement lasting impact and change.
